Health Clearance for Your Permanent Makeup Appointment

Please check below to make sure you are clear of any health contraindications before booking your appointment.

Cosmetic Tattoo Procedures cannot be performed on you if you are/have:

- Under the age of 18

- Pregnant/nursing

- Diabetic ( please consult with your physician for approval )

- Taking blood-thinning medications ( must stop taking a week prior )

- Prone to keloiding

- Skin diseases/irritations such as eczema, psoriasis etc. ( may proceed if inactive on treated area )

- Transmittable blood diseases ( HIV / Hepatitis)

- Cancer patients must book prior to receiving chemotherapy/radiation treatment or wait 5 months after 

- On Accutane ( must wait one year after completing this treatment )

- A Pacemaker or any major heart problems

Eyebrows

Precare : 

- Do not consume alcoholic beverages, caffeine, or any blood thinners 24 hours before your appointment (please consult your doctor before stopping any medications)

- Avoid tanning or long sun exposure 2 weeks prior

- Discontinue retinols/salicylic acids two weeks prior along with any skin repairing facials.

Aftercare :

- Healing will typically take up to 7-10 days

- Brows will appear darker and scabbing will begin around day 3-4

- Do not pick at scabs. Allow them to fall off naturally

- Avoid sun exposure, sweating, and swimmimg until brows are healed (wear a hat outside, sun visor down while driving, and no sauna/steamrooms)

- Keep showers short and not too hot (Have shower head facing below your face)

- Refrain from sleeping on the side to avoid brows from rubbing off

- Apply A&D ointment as needed when tight, itchy, or dry (thin layer so skin can breathe) 

- Brows will heal up to 30% lighter and thinner. Slight patchiness is completely normal. It is a two step process. Touch-up appointment in 6-10 weeks will correct and perfect the brows.

Lip Blush

Precare :  

- Do not consume alcoholic beverages, caffeine, or any blood thinners 24 hours before your appointment (please consult your doctor before stopping any medications)

- If you are prone to cold sores on the lips, please consult your doctor to receive antiviral medication to avoid break-outs.

- Gently exfoliate your lips 3 days prior and keep lips moisturized up to your appointment. (brown sugar and olive oil mixture for a natural exfoliant) 

Aftercare : 

Healing will typically take up to 5-6 days

- Apply A&D ointment 24/7 (thicker layer before bedtime) 

- light scabbing/peeling will occur

- Avoid sun exposure, sweating, and swimming (that includes sauna/steamrooms)

- Lip color will fade up to 50% lighter as it heals

SMP (Scalp Micro-pigmentation)

Precare : 

- Shave or trim hair two days before so scalp is more accessible.

- Do not have any long sun exposure a week before.

- Do not consume alcohol, caffeine, or any blood thinners 24 hours before your appointment

- Moisturize scalp few days prior to your appointment

- Shower night before your appointment. 

Aftercare :

- Avoid sun and sweating for 5 days

- Light scabbing will occur

- shower on the third day after treatment with baby shampoo (no scrubbing scalp for it will disrupt proper healing)

- Apply A&D ointment when scalp feels itchy
